Introduction

The PRA8860-B is an unshielded RJ45 modular plug used to terminate Cat6 UTP network cable. It is the male connector fitted to the end of a patch cord or a direct equipment drop, and mates with any standard

RJ45 port on a switch, router, patch panel, IP camera, printer, PC or server. The body is moulded from transparent polycarbonate, which resists cracking, keeps the locking latch springy after repeated insertion,

and lets the installer verify wire order and full seating of the conductors before crimping. All eight contacts carry 50 micro-inch gold plating over nickel, giving low and stable contact resistance together with good

resistance to wear and oxidation. Each contact uses a three-prong insulation displacement design that straddles the conductor at three points rather than one, providing a larger contact area and a more reliable

termination on both solid and stranded conductors. The eight wire channels are sized at 1.1 mm to suit Cat6 cable, and the plug is terminated to either T568A or T568B using a standard RJ45 crimping tool.

• -Universal Compatibility: Mates with any equipment fitted with a standard Ethernet RJ45 port, including switches, routers, CCTV cameras, printers, hubs, PCs and servers.
