This Cat6A inline coupler is a keystone-format pass-through module with an RJ45 socket on each side, used to join two patch cords into a single continuous link
without punch-down termination, crimping or any special tooling. It is built around a high-grade printed circuit board with impedance-matched traces, so the joint
behaves as part of the channel rather than as a discontinuity, supporting bandwidth up to 550 MHz and data rates up to 10 Gbps over Cat6A cabling. The shielded version
uses a die-cast zinc alloy housing that fully encloses the contacts and provides EMI and RFI protection in electrically noisy environments, while the unshielded version
uses a PC plastic housing. Contacts are gold-plated phosphor bronze rated for at least 750 mating cycles, and it fits any standard keystone faceplate or blank panel.
- -Straight-Through Coupler Design: RJ45 socket on both sides allows two patch cords to be joined into one continuous link, extending a run without re-terminating cable.
- -Cat6A / 550 MHz, 10 Gbps Performance: Rated to 550 MHz and 10 Gbps, so the coupler does not become the bottleneck of a Cat6A channel.
- -Zinc Alloy Shielded Housing: Die-cast zinc alloy body fully encloses the contact area, blocking external electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.
- -Gold-Plated Phosphor Bronze Contacts: Gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts give low, stable contact resistance and resist oxidation over the life of the installation.
- -Engineered PCB Signal Path: Internal PCB with controlled trace geometry keeps pair-to-pair crosstalk and return loss within category limits across the joint.
- -Minimum 750 Mating Cycles: Rated for a minimum of 750 insertion and withdrawal cycles, suited to positions where devices are frequently reconnected.
- -Tool-Free Installation: Simply plug both patch cords in — no punch-down tool, crimper or cable stripping required, and no specialist skill needed.
- -Universal Keystone Format: Standard keystone footprint snaps into single and dual-port faceplates, surface mount boxes and blank patch panels.
- -Standards Compliant and Flame Retardant: Manufactured to ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1, ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173, with flame-retardant materials throughout.
- -Extend Existing Runs Without Rewiring: A cable that is too short can be extended with a second patch cord instead of being pulled out and replaced, saving material and labour.
- -Faster Installation, Lower Labour Cost: No punch-down or crimping means a link can be completed in seconds by general maintenance staff, not only by a certified cabling technician.
- -Maintains Channel Performance: Because the coupler is engineered to category specification rather than being a simple splice, the completed channel retains its rated performance.
- -Reliable Operation in Noisy Environments: Metal shielding and a solid ground path reduce interference-related errors and retransmissions in industrial and high-density environments.
- -Long-Term Connection Stability: Gold plating and the 750-cycle rating keep contact resistance stable, avoiding the intermittent faults that come from worn or oxidised contacts.
- -Neat, Traceable Terminations: Mounting into standard faceplates and panels turns an untidy in-line joint into a documented, labelled and serviceable termination point.
- -Simplified Inventory: One module type covers wall outlets, surface boxes and rack panels, reducing the number of part numbers held in stock.
- -Extending an existing horizontal cable run that is too short to reach the intended outlet
- -Building pass-through patch panels in racks when combined with a blank keystone panel
- -Wall outlets and surface mount boxes in offices, hotels, hospitals and residential buildings
- -Temporary or fast-turnaround links in exhibition halls, studios and event installations
- -Repair and reinstatement of damaged cable runs without pulling in a complete new cable
- -Industrial and factory networks where shielded cabling is required for EMI immunity
- -IP CCTV, access control, wireless access point and PoE device connections
- -Test benches, laboratories and staging areas where links are reconfigured frequently
